About Andrew V. Shack, Ph.D.
I completed my Ph.D. in 1999 from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. During my studies, I had four years of intensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy and research at the Stress and Anxiety Clinic, North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset New York.
I continued my intensive work in CBT during my residency and fellowship at the University of Texas-Houston Medical School, as well as during my position as Clinic Manager and Staff Psychologist at Harris County Psychiatric Center, University of Texas-Houston Medical School. I have several presentations at professional meetings and articles in peered reviewed journals on clinical related topics.
I have been in private practice in Oak Park since 2001 where I have been providing therapy, assessments, and psychological consulation services. I am an adjunct faculty at Roosevelt University and teach cognitive behavioral therapy to graduate students, as well as supervise beginning therapists in cognitive behavioral therapy.
Close to Green Line's Harlem and Lake Station, Metra Station, and several buses
